Moved to Jax 2 years ago, upon moving my mf and I went searching for the best local takeout food staples pizza/Chinese ect. We must have tried at least 10 Chinese spots before stumbling upon fongs, it was a local mom and pop run by the absolute sweetest little elderly couple, they checked all the boxes, quick, cheap, fresh, great quality, fast. We were going once a week at minimum. Since they have retired and it’s fallen under new ownership it has not been the same at all. The prices went up, the portions went down, food that was once cooked with love suddenly lost that grandmas kitchen appeal. The last time we went there sadly we came to the conclusion that we must start to search for another Chinese takeout spot. Hopefully this message finds them and they make the appropriate adjustments bc other locals that have been regulars for over a dozen years are now taking there business elsewhere.

My sister and I went to Fongs a couple weeks ago. We have always lived nearby and never got to try it. I have been going a frequently since. The food is always wonderful and they give us great portions and the prices are so good! The food tastes so good. I highly recommend their soups, angel hair house special (in the image below), and their Chinese donuts. The service is always great too. It’s always a nice family working very hard and they are always so sweet to my sister and I

Ordered the beef and noodles got 3 pieces of beef the rest noodles. 10 dollars for noodles. Order a large pork fried rice, hands down the worst I've ever had it was dry and lacked any flavor. The lady at the counter gave great service. The food was a bust.

I’m sharing this review to say that i am highly disappointed in it the new management. I usually come here for lunch and pay $8 for my meal. The photo on the left was the old owners; the $8 meal, the photo on the right (with the 2 containers) is from the new management and this was $18. This is unacceptable. They give you less food for more money. And not to mention that the food doesn’t have the same quality taste. The meat tastes bad. I will not be eating here again.

The person we ordered from, over the phone, was SUPER helpful and friendly!! The food is a total miss. Completely flavorless. The lo mein is just spaghetti with an essence of soy sauce. The crab ragoon is just straight cream cheese. It's almost like the sauces are watered down. Do not recommend :/
